MOLDED GRATING
C.gif (996 bytes)ombining unmatched corrosion resistance with strength, long life and safety, fiberglass grating is proven to deliver years of reliable service, even in the most demanding environments.  Grating Pacific offers two types of quality fiberglass grating distinguished by their method of construction.  These gratings are classified as molded products and pultruded   products.  Molded grating is unmatched in its ability to withstand the effects of corrosion and is highly impact resistant.   Pultruded grating provides reliable corrosion resistance and higher load bearing characteristics.
CHARACTERISTICSMolded and pultruded fiberglass gratings are often superior to conventional metallic gratings when installed in highly corrosive environments.  Fiberglass grating can be fabricated with simple hand tools, is light in weight, and is easy to install.  For enhanced worker safety, fiberglass grating is slip-resistant, non-conductive, and is available with flame spread ratings unsurpassed by any competitive product.  In-line with the growth of ergonomics as a factor in facility planning, the inherent resiliency of fiberglass grating can also increase worker productivity by greatly lessening back and leg fatigue.

APPLICATIONSThe unique features inherent in fiberglass gratings make these products ideal candidates in the most demanding industrial applications.  Chemical processing, refining, offshore, pulp and paper, food and beverage, marine (including military vessels), water and wastewater treatment, electronics and plating are just some of the applications where the performance of fiberglass grating has proven superior.

RESIN SYSTEMS

The resin systems used in fiberglass grating provide superior resistance to the effects of corrosion and ultraviolet exposure.  Uniquely formulated resin systems are also responsible for the grating's fire retardant characteristics.
Because various applications present different performance requirements, Grating Pacific offers a number of standard resin systems, each offering unique properties.  For maximum versatility and selection, molded grating is stocked in five resin systems, the most extensive selection in the industry.  Pultruded grating is offered in two resin formulations, in order to best match the requirements of the specific application.

In keeping with its quality role, only Fibergate Fiberglass
Gratings are classified by Underwriters Laboratory for
meeting established standards for chemical exposure,
flame spread, load-bearing characteristics and
slip-resistance.  This certification by an independent
third party provides the user a strong sense
of security knowing that Fibergate meets established
performance specifications.
