FIBERGLASS GRATINGS

Fiberglass Floor Plate

Chemplate and Fiberplate are manufactured by building up multiple layers of fiberglass reinforcement and specially-formulated resins. The result of this process is a solid composite plate offering both bi-directional strength and corrosion resistance.

These specially designed products are non-porous and are easily cleaned by high pressure washer and can withstand cleaning solutions. Available in all molded grating resin systems (see Molded Grating Section of this website). Standard panel sizes are 3' x 10', 4' x 8', 4' x 12' and 5' x 10'.

Fiberplate

Fiberplate sets the standard for high performance structural panel. A rugged fiberglass structural plate with a molded-in, grit top surface, Fiberplate is designed for use in applications where durability and long, maintenance-free life is critical. As a flooring, Fiberplate is usually installed over structural members, or over existing grating, to provide a solid walkway or to extend the life of a high traffic area. Fiberplate can also be bolted directly to structural beams and used as a wall panel that is resistant to corrosive splash. Fiberplate is manufactured from the same wide range of resins and colors as our molded grating products. Available plate thickness is 1/8", 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" and 3/4" and plate sizes range from 3’-0" x 10’-0" to 4’-0" x 12’-0". Cut to size pieces are similarly available.

Installation

• Install using ordinary hand tools and masonry saw blade
• Fastener assembly kits may be ordered directly from Grating Pacific
• Space fasteners a minimum of 12"-24" apart
• On concrete, use masonry bit and concrete anchor bolts
• On steel, wood or FRP, drill and bolt with truss head assembly
• It is recommended that all cut edges and holes be resin sealed
