FRP Stair Solutions - Stair Treads
Fiberglass stair treads and stair covers are an essential complement to molded and pultruded grating installations. These corrosion and slip resistant treads are manufactured with a defined visible nosing and provide safe footing in the most challenging environments.Stair treads and covers can be supplied cut to precise customer specified sizes or in stock panels that are easily field fabricated.
Fibertred Stair Treads
Available in the same high performance resin formulations as Fibergrate molded grating with meniscus or grit surface. Treads are manufactured with 1-1/2" deep x 1/4" thick bars spaced in a 1-1/2" x 6" rectangular mesh. Unique cutting channels spaced at 6" intervals provide efficient utilization when cutting treads to common 6" increments. Tread nosing is 1-1/2" wide with slip resistant grit surface.
Chemtred Stair Treads
Available in the same high performance resin formulations as Chemgrate molded grating with integral grit surface. Treads are manufactured with 1-1/2" deep x 3/8" thick bars spaced in a 1-1/2" x 6" rectangular mesh. Tread nosing is 1-1/2" wide with integral grit surface.
Safe-T-Span Pultruded Treads
I-6015 and I-4015 stair treads available in ISOFR or VEFR resins. Pultruded treads are manufactured with standard slip-resistant grit surface and a lead-bar nosing of contrasting color. Color options: Gray and Yellow.
Stair Tread Panels
Molded Fibertred and Chemtred panels are available in stock sheets with dual side nosings designed to facilitate efficient cutting of treads with minimal waste. Fibertred panels are available 22-1/2" wide x 10'-0. Chemtread is available in 27-3/8" x 12'-0 1/2" and 21-1/2" x 10'-0 1/2" panels.Safe-T-Span pultruded tread panels are available "single wide" with the contrasting nosing on one side of the panel. Stock panels are 12" wide x 12'0, 20'-0 or 24'-0 in length.
Stair Tread Covers
Solid slip-resistant 1/8" thick cover with deformed nosing for installation over existing stair treads that are structurally sound. Excellent for retrofitting worn concrete, wood or steel stairs. For full details visit the Stair Tread Covers page of this website.
