Grip Strut® Stair Treads

Grip Strut® stair treads are manufactured with welded end carrier plates, pre-punched with holes, which allow the treads to be bolted to the stair stringers. In many cases, the side margin of the standard Grip Strut channel provides a defined visible nosing. Where increase visibility and safety are required, specify products with supplementary case abrasive nosings.

Widths available are 4-3/4" (2 diamond), 7" (3 diamond), 8-1/8" (3 diamond with abrasive nosing), 9-1/2" (4 diamond), 10-1/2" (4 diamond with abrasive nosing) and 11-3/4" (5 diamond). Tread lengths can be any customer specified length.

The load data below takes eccentric loads into consideration. Although load values include allowances for normal impact conditions and usual pedestrian traffic, be sure to make provisions for special uses and loads involving unusual impart or vibratory forces. Load carrying capacity increases as channel height and gauge of material increase.
